The Zanoli family of the village of Eemnes the Netherlands, Righteous Among the Nations.
A Dutch Jewish boy, Elchanan Pinto (later - Hameiri), lived with them in hiding for over two years.
In the photo:
Wilhelmus - Wil Zanoli (standing on the left), the family's younger son;
Georg Zanoli (standing, center), the younger son;
Johanes - Joop Zanoli (standing on the right);
Henk de Bont (seated on the left), the husband of Alida Zanoli;
Alida (second from the left);
on her knees the couple's son, Harry de Bont;
Jans (center), the mother of the family;
Gertraude - Tros Zanoli (seated second on the right);
and the son, Henk Zanoli (seated on the bench's armrest).
Notes:
1) Henk Zanoli, the father of the family, was arrested by the Nazis and died in a Nazi camp.
2) Henk de Bont was killed by the Nazis.
3) The photograph was given to Elchanan Pinto - Hameiri in October 1945, when he parted from his rescuers.
