A Jewish cemetery in Bavaria, dedicated in the year 5706 (1945/46). It was built by the initiative and funding of Dr. Philip Auerbach. In the photo: a memorial plaque on either side of the gate, in German and Hebrew. Note: This and other photographs were found together with correspondence dealing with three Bavarian villages north and northeast of Munich (Muenchen) where Holocaust survivors lodged in postwar Europe. A Jewish cemetery in Bavaria, dedicated in the year 5706 (1945/46).
It was built by the initiative and funding of Dr. Philip Auerbach. In the photo: a memorial plaque on either side of the gate, in German and Hebrew.
Note:
This and other photographs were found together with correspondence dealing with three Bavarian villages north and northeast of Munich (Muenchen) where Holocaust survivors lodged in postwar Europe. It is possible that the cemetery is located in one of them: Mallersdorf, Ergoldsbach, and Geiselhoering. Close
