(A) Memoirs of Eliezer Nachshon - Szlang, b. August 1915 in Warsaw (Warszawa)
In 1929 his father died. In Nov. 1939 he fled Warsaw for Brest. In June 1940 he went to the Komi region. In March 1943 he was interned in a gulag. In Aug. 1944 he followed his brother and sister to the Caucasus. In June 1946 he returned to Poland, joined “Ha - Moledet,” a Zionist pioneering training commune (kibbutz hachshara) of the Socialist youth movement Ha - Shomer ha - Tsa’ir. He emigrated to Israel on 22 May 1948 and was inducted into the IDF underground; saw combat in the vicinity of Latrun.
