The dedication on the back of the photo, with Jewish New Year's wishes from the subjects and Jankel Zamkowski, the father of the family, is dated Sept. 17, 1936.
1) The three apparently perished in the Holocaust.
2) The photograph comes from the estate of Pesach ben - Hirsz Wajnapel of Radzyn. Wajnapel came to Russia from Poland during the First World War and stayed there. He was murdered in 1938 in one of the purges of the Stalin regime. Close
