From the Israel Kaplan collection:
Zalman Kichli - Kichel, born on Oct. 14, 1923 in Troskunai, Lithuania: his testimony on the fate of the Jews of his town during the war. Testimony taken on Oct. 24, 1957. One page, in Kaplan's handwriting, in Hebrew.
Kichli found out about what happened in Troskunai only after he went into the Siauliai ghetto. Several young people from Troskunai fled to Russia at the beginning of the war and joined the Lithuanian Division. The rest of the town's Jews were banished to Panevezys, and after several days were taken to Pajust and slaughtered there. Close
