Field Marshall Wilhelm Keitel, Chief of the Armed Forces High Command (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht) of Nazi Germany, during his postwar trial. Photographed in Nuremberg (Nuernberg). Keitel, born in 1882, was tried along with the principal war criminals of the Nazi Reich. He was sentenced to death and hanged on Oct. 16, 1946.
