Description of item:
A miniature Dutch wooden shoe, carved from tree bark by Arnold Koller in the Bergen - Belsen camp.
It was given to camp inmate Gony van Hosten as a gift on her birthday.
Arnold Koller was born in Berlin in 1924. He was deported to the Neuengamme camp on Nov. 23, 1944, and murdered there on Nov. 27.
