1. A postcard sent by Shari - Sharlotte Herskovicz from Trnava, Slovakia, to her brother Ludvik - Lajos - Eliezer Herskovicz, inmate no. 33679, in the Sangerhausen camp, Germany. Shari was sheltered with her younger sister Erika by Yaroslav & Hanna Nemec, a doctor and his wife, in Trnava. In this postcard, a new year's greeting card (December 1944), she reports that they are still alive.
2. Two postcards sent by Anny Levkovic from Praha (Prague), Czechoslovakia, to Ludvik, her nephew, in Sangerhausen. One was written on the day Shari's husband died (10 March 1945), but she was not aware of this at the time.
The postcards were donated by Vera Har - Lev, Eliezer's daughter.
6 pages, handwritten original, in German
Note: the Nemec couple were later recognized as Righteous Among the Nations. Their children accepted the honor on their behalf. Close
