In the photo: Krysia Wojczakowska (back row, on the right).
In 1940, at age three, the girl was found abandoned in the Skierniewice railway station, on her neck a cardboard tag with the name Masza Wielenkow. A Pole named Jozef Wojczakowski found her, brought her to his home, and took care of her throughout the war. Afterwards he transferred her to the orphanage in Srodborow. Her mother's name was Lila.
