Transcription of the testimony of Zvia Lehr, formerly Zvia Hershkowitz nee Rosenbaum, of Kibbutz Giv’at Brenner: her mission to DP camps and Zionist pioneering training farms (havot hachshara) in Austria and Germany, 1946 – 1948.
Also in the file: copies of letters she sent after the war, and excerpts from her diary.
In 1923 she immigrated to Mandate Palestine with her parents, Moshe and Sara Rosenbaum, and her two siblings. She married Eliyahu Hershkowitz, and was sent to Europe on behalf of Ha - Kibbutz ha - Meuchad and the Jewish Agency to work in the clandestine organization Irgun Ha - Bricha in the Foehrenwald camp, the Hochland DP camp, and in the city of Ulm.
