Note: Cila Zacharowicz, a young woman from Poland whose name in the camp was Cyla Stawiska, escaped from the camp aided by Jerzy Bielecki who was disguised as an SS man. She was hidden by a Polish family until the end of the war. Bielecki joined the Armia Krajowa Polish underground and in this framework continued fighting the Nazis.
