A captured British officer talking to a German officer in the VIII B POW camp.
Note: the designation VIII B was given to three different POW camps.
One was the Silberberg Oflag (officers' camp), the place name in German for the Polish Srebrna Gora in Silesia.
Another was the Lambsdorf camp, the German name for the Polish town of Lambinowice.
The third was located in the city of Teschen (in Polish, Cieszyn).
The latter two camps were situated near the Polish - Czechoslovak border. Close
