Moshe Krajczyk – Keret: his testimony.
He was born in 1925 in Smorgon.
Testimony about the extermination of Smorgon Jewry, his experiences in the Ziezmariai camp and the Kaisiadorys camp; his partisan combat in the Rudniki (Rudninkai) Forest in the Denis battalion until the liberation.
Krajczyk describes being in the Dror Zionist pioneering commune (kibbutz) in [postwar] Danzig, his stay in DP camps, and the travails of his many attempts to emigrate to Mandate Palestine: crossing borders illegally, sailing on the [illegal immigration] ship "Exodus" and deportation back to Europe, and finally reaching Israel on the day the State was proclaimed.
