One of the bulldozers used in the Treblinka camp. In the photo: the building (on the left) that housed the camp's first gas chambers (on the left). After other gas chambers were built, this building was converted for use as a sewing room. Photo from the album of Kurt Franz, deputy commandant of the camp.
The bulldozers were used to dig pits where the victims were buried, and afterwards for exhuming the corpses from the pits for cremation.
