The corpses of Jews after a pogrom in the Baneasa Forest near Bucharest (Bucuresti). Photographed in January 1941.
One copy of this photograph was sent back to Mandate Palestine by Dov Berger - Harari, a Jewish parachutist from the Yishuv. On the back of the photo, he had written, "Europe - 1944." These parachutists were dropped behind enemy lines in WWII Europe by the British army.
