Mikhail and Vladimir Shatsman, two Jewish brothers who were soldiers in the Soviet Red Army. There were four Shatsman brothers who served in the army: Vladimir, who was captured by the Germans, escaped and became a partisan leader. Today he lives in Israel. Mikhail Shatsman, born in 1923, received a serious leg wound and died in New York on December 10, 1997. Baruch and Eliahu Shatsman fell at the Leningrad (St. Peterburg) front.
